Description
Motorola T786AE CITE Card T1 Microcite Cell Site HDII NAMPS 4964121020
The Motorola T786AE is a T1 CITE (Cellular Interoffice Trunk Equipment) interface card designed for use in the Motorola Microcite small-cell base station platform. This card was pulled directly from a Motorola C25HDM01H7AF Microcite Base Station configured for HDII/NAMPS operation. It handles T1 span connectivity and voice/data interfacing within the Microcite chassis, providing the critical link between the cell site and the wireline network.

Applications
The Motorola Microcite platform was introduced in the early-to-mid 1990s as a compact, cost-effective cell site solution aimed at filling coverage gaps in suburban and rural areas without the footprint of a full macro base station. The CITE card is the T1 trunk interface at the heart of that system — it terminates T1 spans from the wireline PSTN and manages the voice and signaling paths that connect the base station to the MTSO (Mobile Telephone Switching Office). NAMPS (Narrowband AMPS) was an enhancement to the original analog AMPS standard that tripled channel capacity by subdividing the 30 kHz AMPS channels into 10 kHz NAMPS channels, and the HDII designation refers to the Microcite's high-density second-generation configuration. Today, these cards are sought by cellular infrastructure technicians maintaining legacy analog systems, by vintage telecom collectors, and by engineers needing replacement modules for Microcite installations still in limited service or used for training and lab reference.
This Motorola T786AE CITE T1 Cell Site Card has been inspected and is in good condition. It was pulled from a Motorola C25HDM01H7AF Microcite Base Station (HDII/NAMPS). The card shows light general wear consistent with prior rack-mounted service use; the PCB, faceplate, connectors, and housing all appear intact with no obvious damage.
