Description
Scientific Atlanta V9526311 Pegasus XT Transport Stream Re-Multiplexer ASI
The Scientific Atlanta Pegasus XT is a professional broadcast-grade MPEG-2 transport stream re-multiplexer designed for digital headend and distribution applications. It accepts multiple ASI (Asynchronous Serial Interface) input streams, filters and remultiplexes the transport stream content, and outputs a single combined transport stream via ASI and SPI interfaces. The Pegasus XT was developed by Scientific Atlanta (subsequently Cisco) as part of their broadcast headend product line for cable, satellite, and terrestrial digital television facilities.

Applications
The Pegasus XT is a transport stream re-multiplexer used in professional broadcast headend environments for cable television, satellite distribution, and digital terrestrial television (DTT) facilities. It is designed to receive multiple MPEG-2 DVB-ASI transport streams, filter program content at the PID level, and re-multiplex selected programs into a single output transport stream for downstream distribution or encoding. This type of equipment was commonly deployed in cable headend rooms and playout facilities to manage bandwidth allocation across multiple digital channels before distribution to subscriber networks. It is also used in broadcast signal contribution, content aggregation, and digital TV channel lineup management. Operators and engineers working with legacy Scientific Atlanta (Cisco) headend ecosystems, or those maintaining or upgrading digital cable headend infrastructure, are the primary audience for this unit.
This Scientific Atlanta V9526311 Pegasus XT Transport Stream Re-Multiplexer powers on and the front-panel LCD display is active, showing firmware version zHV04.00.16. Beyond confirming power-up and display operation, this unit has not been tested further. The chassis is a 2U rackmount unit in typical used condition. The front panel shows moderate wear consistent with prior deployment in a broadcast headend environment, with some scuffing on the panel face. The rear panel connectors — including ASI inputs, ASI/SPI outputs, Ethernet, and the Status & Control port — appear intact and undamaged as visible in our photos. The interior boards and wiring harnesses appear complete and unmodified. Please view our full photo set and contact us if you have any questions before purchasing. Please note: We have multiple units in stock — yours may not be the one shown in the photos, however, it will be similar in condition and function.
