Butyl rubber edge sealant tape designed for photovoltaic module perimeter sealing. This polyisobutylene (PIB) tape with integrated desiccant prevents moisture ingress and maintains module integrity.

Applications
Butyl edge tape is used as a primary perimeter sealant for photovoltaic modules. Compatible with thin-film technologies (CdTe, CIGS, Perovskite), crystalline silicon (c-Si) modules, BIPV installations, perovskite/c-Si tandem configurations, and smart glass systems. The tape creates a moisture barrier at module edges during manufacturing and field assembly.

The tape itself appears physically intact — the roll is complete and the blue protective liner and black butyl adhesive layer show no visible damage or unwinding in our photos.
