Description
Netstal MEM2 Sycap Memory Board 110.240.8679 DiskJet 600/110 Injection Molder
This is a Netstal MEM2 Sycap memory board used in the Netstal DiskJet 600/110 CD/DVD disc injection molding system. The MEM2 board is part of the Sycap temperature controller subsystem and carries the firmware and memory resources that manage the molding process parameters for disc replication. It connects to the main Sycap controller via dual card-edge bus connectors and carries both EVEN and ODD bank memory arrays along with a set of socketed firmware EPROMs specific to the DVD_F60 disc format and D-DAT revision.

Applications
The Netstal DiskJet 600/110 is a high-speed injection molding machine designed specifically for optical disc replication — producing CD and DVD substrates in high-volume manufacturing environments. The Sycap system is Netstal's proprietary temperature control and process management platform integrated into these machines, and memory boards like the MEM2 carry the firmware and RAM resources that store molding parameters, timing data, and disc-format-specific process tables. The DVD_F60 D-DAT firmware present on this board identifies it as configured for DVD disc production. These boards date from the mid-to-late 1990s era of high-volume optical disc manufacturing, when CD and DVD replication facilities ran Netstal and similar European-built injection molders around the clock. Replacement controller boards for these machines are sourced almost exclusively from the surplus market, making them difficult to find in any condition.
This Netstal MEM2 Sycap memory board (MPN 110.240.8679) was pulled from a working Netstal DiskJet 600/110 injection molder in an active CD/DVD disc manufacturing facility. The board shows normal handling wear consistent with production use. The PCB traces and solder side appear clean and intact, EPROM modules and memory ICs are fully populated and seated, and the on-board Maxell battery is present. Card-edge connectors show light wear from normal insertion cycles. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
