Applications

The Netstal DiskJet series was a line of high-speed injection molding machines purpose-built for optical disc manufacturing — producing CD, DVD, and related disc substrates at high cycle rates. The Sycap system served as the machine's temperature control and process management platform, with this operator panel providing the primary interface for machine operators on the production floor. The membrane keypad with icon-based function keys gave operators direct access to mold temperature zones, process parameters, and machine states without requiring a separate display terminal. Netstal, a Swiss manufacturer, was one of the dominant suppliers of optical disc molding equipment during the peak of CD and DVD disc manufacturing in the 1990s and 2000s. Replacement operator panels and control components for this equipment are sought by facilities still running legacy Netstal disc lines, as well as by technicians maintaining or refurbishing these machines.
