Multi-Contact PV-JB/2 Solar Panel Junction Box 20A 600V MC3 32.7020.060

The Multi-Contact PV-JB/2 is a weatherproof solar panel junction box designed to enclose and protect the exposed solder points or short wire terminals at the back of a photovoltaic module. This stock came out of Unisolar and arrives prewired with two 22-inch MC3 leads — one positive, one negative — fitted with both male and female MC3 connectors for quick series or parallel connections between panels.

Applications

The PV-JB/2 is a standard component in thin-film solar panel manufacturing and field finishing. It covers and seals the raw wire exit points on the back of a solar module — the point where the panel's internal conductors emerge — protecting them from moisture, UV, and physical damage. The built-in MC3 connectors allow the finished panel to plug directly into a series string for grid-tied systems or into a charge controller for off-grid and battery-bank applications. This junction box was widely used during the era of thin-film amorphous silicon panel manufacturing, particularly on UniSolar laminates, and remains compatible with any MC3-based solar array wiring. The slide-in terminal clips make field wiring straightforward without requiring soldering.
