The Xunlight XRS10-83 is an 83-watt flexible amorphous thin-film solar laminate made in Toledo, Ohio by Xunlight Corporation. Unlike rigid glass panels, this panel rolls up to approximately 12 inches in diameter for easy transport and storage. It has no sticky backing, keeping it lighter and more portable. The ETFE top sheet (no glass) provides weather resistance for outdoor use. Positive and negative copper solder tabs allow you to add your own wiring and connectors. No cables are included with this listing.

Flexible amorphous thin-film solar panels like the Xunlight XRS10 series are used for portable and off-grid battery charging applications where a rigid panel is impractical. Because amorphous silicon cells generate some power even under diffuse or overcast light conditions — unlike conventional crystalline silicon panels — they are particularly suited to mobile and marine environments where full sun is not always available. Xunlight Corporation produced this XRS series at its Toledo, Ohio facility until the company closed in 2016; these panels represent the last of that domestic thin-film production run and are no longer manufactured. The rollable, lightweight form factor makes them especially useful for rooftop mounting on curved surfaces or for applications where weight is a concern.
