The Uni-Solar PVL-136 is a 136-watt, 24-volt nominal flexible amorphous thin-film solar panel featuring a peel-and-stick PowerBond adhesive backing that bonds directly to flat and standing-seam metal roofs with no mounting hardware required. The panel is lightweight and flexible enough to roll up for transport or storage, and it ships with top-facing MC3 output cables attached. These are new old stock units pulled from a sealed carton of 30 panels and stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse; manufacture date is February 2011 per the label.

Applications

The PVL-136 was designed primarily for commercial and residential flat roofs and standing-seam metal roofs, where the adhesive backing eliminates roof penetrations and mounting hardware. Because the panel is flexible and can be rolled up, it is widely used in RV, marine, truck, and trailer installations where a rigid framed panel would be impractical. It also works well in portable solar power systems, since the panel can be rolled into a compact package for transport. The PVL-136 pairs with a standard MPPT or PWM charge controller sized for a 24V battery bank, or feeds a grid-tie inverter in a larger array. Uni-Solar (United Solar Ovonic) ceased production of the PVL series, so new old stock units like these are no longer available through normal distribution channels.
