SS 304 High Vacuum 45° Elbow ISO-K Flange 5.15" Bore Roughing Pump Line
This is a Stainless Steel 304 high vacuum 45-degree elbow fitting with ISO-K flanges on both ends. The bore measures approximately 5.15 inches in diameter (visible in the measurement photo), corresponding to an ISO-K 160 large-flange configuration. The fitting is fabricated from 304 stainless steel and features a smooth swept elbow body with machined flange faces designed for ISO-K clamp or bolt ring connections.

Applications
ISO-K large-flange fittings are a standard connection type in high and medium-high vacuum systems operating in the 10⁻³ to 10⁻⁸ Torr range. A 45-degree elbow of this bore size is used to redirect large-diameter roughing pump lines and fore-lines connecting rotary vane, roots blower, or dry scroll roughing pumps to turbomolecular pump inlets or vacuum chambers. This fitting size is commonly found in physical vapor deposition (PVD) systems, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) tools, sputtering systems, ion beam systems, and large research or production vacuum chambers. ISO-K 160-class components are also used in particle accelerator beam-line sections and large cryogenic vacuum systems. The fitting is suitable for replacement or expansion of existing ISO-K vacuum plumbing where a 45° direction change is needed without reducing flow conductance.
This Stainless Steel 304 High Vacuum 45° ISO-K Elbow was pulled from a large vacuum deposition system that was decommissioned when the facility closed operations. It had been in active service as part of a roughing pump line integrated with large turbo pumps. The fitting shows typical service wear consistent with industrial vacuum use — minor surface smudging and light scuffing on the exterior stainless, visible in the photos. Both ISO-K flange faces appear intact with no visible cracks, deformation, or damage to the sealing surfaces. The bore interior shows expected use marks. No o-rings or clamps are included.
