ISO-K Flange Seal 304 SS High Vacuum Centering Ring 3-3/4" Bore 5.15" OD
This is a 304 stainless steel ISO-K high vacuum centering ring seal with a brown Viton (FKM) O-ring. The centering ring seats between two mating ISO-K flanges to provide a leak-tight seal on high vacuum pipeline connections. It is designed for use in high vacuum systems where a reliable metal-backed O-ring seal is required at flanged joints.

Applications
ISO-K centering ring seals of this type are standard components in high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) plumbing systems. They are widely used at flanged connections in vacuum deposition equipment (PVD, CVD, sputtering), turbomolecular pump inlets, roughing pump lines, vacuum furnaces, electron beam systems, and research vacuum chambers. The ISO-K (or ISO-LF) flange standard is common across European and international vacuum equipment manufacturers including Leybold, Pfeiffer, Edwards, and Varian. These centering ring seals are consumable-class components that are replaced during system maintenance or whenever a flange joint is broken and re-made. This seal was removed from a large vacuum deposition system that included high-capacity roughing pumps and turbomolecular pumps.

This 304 stainless steel ISO-K high vacuum centering ring seal was removed from a large vacuum deposition system that was decommissioned when the facility closed operations. It had been in service as part of a roughing pump line integrated with large turbo pumps. The stainless ring shows light surface oxidation and minor scuffing consistent with normal use in a vacuum environment. The Viton O-ring appears intact and seated properly in its groove with no visible cuts or deformation. A small retaining clip is present on the ring. This centering ring has not been bench-tested following removal but was pulled from active service in a functional system at the time of decommissioning.
