Applications

Dummy wafers are a standard consumable in semiconductor wafer fabrication. They are loaded into process equipment — diffusion furnaces, CVD reactors, ion implanters, sputtering systems, and etch tools — in place of product wafers to condition the chamber, establish process uniformity, monitor deposition or etch rates, and satisfy boat or batch loading requirements.
