Applications

EDS/EDX systems attach to Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) platforms to perform qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis of specimens. Used in materials science, metallurgy, geology, and failure analysis laboratories. The PGT.8000 was common in industrial and research SEM installations from the 1990s through 2000s for real-time spectral data collection and processing.

Condition: For Parts or Not Working
This Princeton Gamma-Tech PGT .8000 ImIX-PC X-Ray Microanalysis ECS Computer powers on — the fans spin and the LEDs light up — but we were not able to test it beyond that. It is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair with no functionality guarantee. The cabinet is in used cosmetic condition with normal wear consistent with lab use; the exterior shows minor scuffs and surface marks. The interior is fully populated with the original PGT modules (Beam Control Interface, Model 325B, and Model 427B), multiple expansion cards, internal power supplies, and a Seagate hard drive.
