Applications

Projection cap welders are used for joining component leads in DIP, TO-can, optical, semiconductor, and crystal package assembly. This supply powered RoMan transformer systems common in microelectronics manufacturing through the 1990s–2000s for high-speed, repeatable welds on package terminals and optical subassemblies. Compatible with standard projection welding electrode tooling for discrete component and custom optoelectronic packaging.

Condition: Used
This Polaris Electronics Accu-Weld 5100 80KVA projection cap welder power supply has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The cabinet exterior shows light surface scuffing and minor marks consistent with shop use. The internal electronics compartment is intact and the control boards, wiring, RoMan welding transformer, and Bernard cooling unit are all present. Note that the welding head is not included — the photos show everything that comes with the unit. There is some staining visible on the Bernard cooling unit drip pan. Due to its size and weight, this unit requires palletized freight shipping.
