Applications
The Microsoft 55306 was widely used throughout the 1990s and early 2000s for personal computers, workstations, and office environments. This mouse type is still actively used in legacy system maintenance, retro computing setups, and industrial/medical equipment that relies on older PC hardware with PS/2 connectivity. Many facilities continue to maintain inventories of compatible PS/2 mice for systems that cannot easily upgrade to modern USB peripherals. The mechanical ball design is straightforward to clean and maintain, making these mice reliable choices for long-term deployments. Collectors of vintage computing equipment and enthusiasts of retro computer restoration also value these original input devices.
This Microsoft 55306 PS/2 mouse has been inspected and is in used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. The unit comes with its original PS/2 connector and is ready to use with any legacy system or computer equipped with a PS/2 mouse port.
