Applications
The Quadrex 200 controller was used in industrial and laboratory vacuum systems for monitoring residual gas composition and detecting leaks. It connects to a separate quadrupole mass spectrometer sensor head to perform mass spectrum analysis of gases in vacuum environments. Commonly deployed in semiconductor manufacturing, research facilities, and vacuum pump test stations.

This Inficon Leybold-Heraeus Quadrex 200 Residual Gas Analyzer Controller (901-002-G1) has been inspected and is in good cosmetic condition overall. The unit powers on and the built-in CRT display lights up. The onboard menu responds normally to front-panel inputs, and the operating mode selection screen is visible and functional as shown in the photos. The unit does flash PROGRAM LOSS and CABLE ERROR messages, which likely indicate it is not connected to its external sensor head or that stored program data has been lost — this is expected behavior when the analyzer tube and sensor connections are absent. We were not able to test the unit further beyond powering it on and confirming the menu responds. The chassis and front panel show typical light wear consistent with previous lab use.
