Description

Allen-Bradley 1771-OBD PLC Output Module 10-60VDC 1771 I/O Series PLC-5 SLC

The Allen-Bradley 1771-OBD is a discrete DC output module for the 1771 I/O system, designed to interface a PLC-5 or compatible processor with field-side DC loads operating in the 10–60VDC range. The module slots into a 1771 I/O chassis and provides isolated output switching for actuators, solenoids, relays, and other DC-powered field devices under program control.

Applications

The Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O system was Rockwell Automation's flagship modular I/O platform, introduced in the 1970s and widely deployed through the 1980s and 1990s in manufacturing, process control, and heavy industry. The 1771-OBD output module handles discrete DC output tasks — switching solenoid valves, motor starters, indicator lights, and relay coils on DC-powered control circuits from a PLC-5 or compatible controller. The 1771 I/O chassis-based architecture allowed plants to build highly customized control panels by mixing input, output, and specialty modules in a common backplane. This platform was common in automotive assembly, food and beverage processing, oil and gas, and general discrete manufacturing. Many 1771-based systems remain in service at facilities that have not migrated to newer ControlLogix or CompactLogix platforms, making replacement I/O modules like the 1771-OBD a continuing maintenance need for legacy system support.

Condition: Used
This Allen-Bradley 1771-OBD 10-60VDC DC Output Module has been inspected and is in good used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was in active use. The module body, wiring terminal strip, and backplane connector all appear clean and intact with normal wear consistent with field use. No cracks, broken tabs, or damaged terminals were noted in our inspection. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
