The Allen-Bradley 1771-OB is a Series B DC output module for the Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O system, used with PLC-5 programmable controllers. Applications
The Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O system is the discrete and analog I/O platform for the PLC-5 family of programmable logic controllers, one of Allen-Bradley's (now Rockwell Automation's) most widely deployed industrial control platforms. The 1771-OB output module connects PLC-5 logic to field-side DC actuators and loads — valves, motor starters, indicator lamps, and relay coils — in manufacturing, process control, and material handling applications. The 1771 I/O series was introduced in the late 1970s and remained a standard throughout the 1980s and 1990s in automotive, food and beverage, chemical, and general discrete manufacturing plants.
