This is a passive 9.5 MHz 5-pole Bessel low pass filter in a rugged metal enclosure, with 50-ohm impedance on both the input and output. The filter uses BNC connectors on each end panel, clearly labeled IN and OUT, and is housed in a painted aluminum enclosure with mounting flanges at the base. Applications

Bessel low pass filters are used in RF and analog signal chains where flat group delay (linear phase response) is more important than sharp roll-off at the cutoff frequency. The Bessel design preserves the shape of pulsed and modulated signals better than Butterworth or Chebyshev topologies, making it a common choice in video signal processing, pulse transmission, data communications test setups, and laboratory signal conditioning. This 9.5 MHz 5-pole Bessel low pass filter has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The blue metal enclosure shows light surface wear consistent with normal handling and storage. The BNC connectors on both the input and output ends are intact and undamaged. The label on top is present and legible, though it shows some age-related yellowing and minor soiling.
