A dual-channel 70MHz FM satcom signal modulator in 19" rack-mount form factor. This unit modulates baseband signals onto a 70MHz carrier for satellite ground station uplink applications.

Applications

This modulator type was deployed in satellite ground stations and satcom uplink facilities for modulating signals onto 70MHz intermediate frequency carriers. Common in telecom and data transmission systems interfacing with satellite transponders. Typically used in conjunction with upconverters and high-power amplifiers for ground-to-satellite signal transmission.

This 3dbm 70MDF-DAT-GLW dual-channel 70MHz FM satcom signal modulator has been inspected and is in good condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was in active use and functional. The chassis and all three plug-in modules — two 70MDF-GLW FM modulators and one 50AT-1-2R dual RF attenuator — are present and show normal wear consistent with field use. Front panel LED indicators, rotary attenuators, and push-button controls are all intact. Rear-panel BNC connectors, IEC AC inlets, and DB9 serial ports appear clean and undamaged.
