Applications

Portable oil cooling systems like this OCH 130-based unit are used to remove heat from hydraulic fluid, gear oil, or lubrication oil in industrial machinery, hydraulic power units, machine tools, presses, and similar equipment where continuous oil circulation generates heat that must be managed. The Young Radiator Company, headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin, has long produced air-blast oil coolers and heat exchangers for industrial and mobile equipment applications; the OCH series are air-cooled oil coolers that use a fan-driven airstream across finned radiator cores to dissipate heat from circulating oil. The self-contained, cart-mounted configuration of this unit was typical of portable or auxiliary cooling setups used in factories, machine shops, and industrial facilities where a fixed coolant loop needed supplemental or temporary oil cooling capacity. The Finish Thompson centrifugal pump circulates the oil through the cooler core, while the Franklin Electric fan motor drives airflow across the fins. Parts from assemblies like this — the pump, motor, fan, and cooler core — are commonly sought individually for repair and replacement in hydraulic and industrial cooling applications.

Condition: For Parts or Not Working
This Young Radiator OCH 130 Portable Oil Cooling System is being sold as-is for parts or repair. The system has not been tested or powered at our facility and no functionality is guaranteed. The unit is cart-mounted on casters and includes the Young Radiator OCH 130 core, a Leeson electric motor, a Finish Thompson (FTI) AC5HTS1E470B025C34 centrifugal pump, and a Franklin Electric 4531280401 fan motor — all plumbed together as an assembly. Cosmetically, the cart frame and radiator core show age-related surface rust, paint scuffing, and general industrial wear consistent with prior use. The fan, motor, and pump appear intact and undamaged in the photos, though their operational status is unknown. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
