Description
Winbond EN-2200T 16-Bit ISA NIC NE2000 DP83902V AUI RJ45 DOS Win95 Win98
The Winbond EN-2200T is a 16-bit ISA Ethernet network interface card built around the National Semiconductor DP83902V Serial Network Interface Controller (SNIC), an NE2000-compatible chipset. It provides both an AUI (DB15) port and an RJ45 port on the rear bracket, giving it flexibility for connection to 10BASE-T twisted-pair networks or to AUI-based transceivers for other media. The board is marked REV.0 and carries FCC Class A compliance, and is manufactured in Taiwan.

Applications
The EN-2200T belongs to a broad family of NE2000-compatible ISA network cards that were the dominant standard for PC networking throughout the late 1980s and into the mid-1990s. NE2000, originally introduced by Novell and Eagle Technologies, became the de facto baseline that most network operating systems and drivers supported, making NE2000-compatible cards like this one broadly usable across DOS-based networks (Novell NetWare, LANtastic, Microsoft LAN Manager) and early Windows environments including Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95, and Windows 98. The 16-bit ISA bus version offered a performance advantage over the earlier 8-bit cards and was the standard choice for 486-class and early Pentium systems of the era. The dual AUI/RJ45 bracket was a common design of the period, allowing the card to work with either 10BASE-T patch cabling (RJ45) or older thick/thin Ethernet setups via an external transceiver on the AUI port. Today these cards are primarily sought by retrocomputing enthusiasts restoring vintage PCs, operators of legacy industrial or scientific systems that still run DOS or Windows 9x, and collectors maintaining period-correct setups.
This Winbond EN-2200T 16-bit ISA Network Card is in used condition. We were not able to fully test this card at our facility, so it is sold as inspected. The board appears clean with no obvious physical damage visible. The AUI (DB15) and RJ45 ports on the bracket look intact, and the ISA edge connector shows normal oxidation typical of stored legacy cards. The PCB carries a QC sticker marked "FQC OK!" from the original manufacturer, though this reflects factory testing and not our own verification. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions. Please note: We have multiple units in stock — yours may not be the one shown in the photos, however, it will be similar in condition and function.
