The Uni-Solar SHR-17 is a 17-watt amorphous flexible photovoltaic solar roofing shingle designed to replace conventional asphalt shingles while simultaneously generating solar electricity. Each shingle is a long, flexible roll of thin-film amorphous silicon triple-junction solar cells laminated onto a durable, UV-stabilized polymer backing — no glass, no rigid frame. The textured surface is designed to visually blend with the granular surface of surrounding conventional shingles. The shingles are unused and ship in their original Uni-Solar cardboard carton. The carton and shingles show minor shelf wear from long-term storage, but the shingles themselves are uninstalled and in new condition.
