This listing is for a complete factory carton of 30 Uni-Solar PVL-144 144-watt flexible amorphous thin-film solar panels, totaling 4.32 kW. The panels are 2011 new old stock and remain in the original Uni-Solar factory carton, unused and in their original condition. Each panel uses an amorphous silicon (a-Si) thin-film cell construction on a lightweight, flexible laminate with a factory-applied peel-and-stick adhesive backing and MC3 connector cables.

Applications

The Uni-Solar PVL series is designed for direct adhesive installation on commercial metal roofing and TPO/EPDM membrane roofing systems, eliminating roof penetrations and the need for mounting racks or ballast. Because the panels are lightweight (about one-fifth the weight of conventional crystalline glass modules) and roll up for transport, they are practical for low-slope and curved roof profiles where rigid panels cannot be used. The amorphous silicon cell technology performs better than crystalline silicon under diffuse light, partial shading, and high ambient temperatures — the bypass diode architecture means a shaded or soiled cell reduces output from only that cell rather than shutting down the whole string. The PVL-144 was widely used in commercial and industrial rooftop systems throughout the 2000s and early 2010s, and remains a sought-after module for retrofit applications on existing membrane and standing-seam metal roofs. Cartons can be shipped on freight in stacked multiples for reduced per-unit shipping cost; individual panels can also be rolled and shipped in a roughly 20-inch cube for smaller orders.
