Applications

OMA spectrometer systems like this were used for real-time spectral measurements in research laboratories, analytical chemistry, and optical testing. The diode array detector enables simultaneous wavelength detection across a spectral range. Compatible with laboratory setups requiring rapid scan capabilities and optical signal acquisition from UV-visible wavelengths.

Condition: For Parts or Not Working
This Tracor Northern TN-6500 Rapid Scan Spectrometer system powers up and displays program information on the monitor, but we were unable to test it further in-house. It is being sold as-is for parts or repair for that reason. The system appears to be complete: the monochromator, Hamamatsu diode array detector with power supply-tube unit, controller/keyboard unit, CRT monitor, Operator's Manual, 5.25-inch software diskettes, and Tektronix Tek Lab Cart Model 3 are all present and visible in the photos. A Tektronix P660I Temperature Probe Instruction Manual, a fiber optic cable, and a small bag of accessories are also included. Cosmetically the system shows normal wear consistent with lab use — paint and cabinet surfaces appear intact. No functionality is guaranteed beyond the observed power-on behavior.
