EG&G PARC 1460 OMA III Multichannel Optical Analyzer Princeton Applied Research
Benchtop optical multichannel analyzer system for spectroscopic measurement and analysis. The OMA III uses simultaneous multichannel detection to capture optical spectra across a range of wavelengths in a single acquisition.

Applications
The OMA III series was widely used in optical spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) analysis, fluorescence detection, and Raman spectroscopy. These systems were deployed in research laboratories, quality control environments, and analytical chemistry applications where simultaneous multichannel detection provided advantages over scanning monochromators. The instrument interfaced with contemporary laboratory computers via RS-232 for data acquisition and processing.
This EG&G PARC 1460 OMA III Multichannel Optical Analyzer powers on but produces no response from the built-in CRT display. Because we cannot confirm full functionality, it is being sold strictly as-is for parts or repair. The unit includes the EG&G 1420 UV non-gated detector and a full complement of modules: CPU O, IO-A, CRT 2, two M1460 Shield modules, M1463 Analog, M1463 14-Bit A/D, M1463 Scan Control, and M1460 DMA. Externally the unit shows moderate wear consistent with lab use — there is damage to the upper rear corner trim, and general scuffing and soiling on the case surfaces. The front-panel controls and floppy drive bays appear intact. The rear compliance label is legible and shows a manufacture date of 7/12/95; voltage selector is present and intact. The internal card cage, wiring, and Deltron W300A power module are all visible and appear physically complete.
