Applications

The 580B OVM is used for monitoring and logging organic vapor concentrations in industrial environments, laboratories, and field operations. It connects via RS-232 to data acquisition systems and computers for real-time monitoring and historical data analysis. The hazardous location rating permits operation in classified environments. This unit was commonly deployed in air quality monitoring, VOC emission testing, and workplace safety assessments.

Condition: Used
This Thermo Environmental 580B OVM Organic Vapor Meter has been inspected and appears to be in good physical condition. We were not able to functionally test this unit. The housing shows general wear consistent with field use — scuffing and discoloration on the case exterior — and the label on the bottom shows some corrosion around the edges. The LCD display and front-panel buttons are intact and visible. The RS-232 and RUN/CHG ports appear undamaged. The original aluminum carry case is included and shows exterior wear and paint loss on the lid, though the green foam insert inside is present and intact.
