Applications
The Tektronix Phaser III series was produced in the mid-1990s and targeted professional color printing for graphics, publishing, and CAD workgroups. The 4698 was one of Tektronix's higher-end large-format inkjet models, capable of printing on media up to approximately E/A0 size. The PXi variant added EtherTalk networking, positioning it as a shared resource in AppleTalk networks commonly found in design studios and pre-press environments of that era. Tektronix's Phaser line was later acquired by Xerox, which continued the Phaser brand.
