Applications
Swagelok FM Series flexible metal hoses are standard fittings in vacuum systems, cryogenic transfer lines, and high-purity gas distribution. The corrugated inner core accommodates thermal expansion and vibration while the stainless wire braid provides mechanical protection and pressure reinforcement, making them well-suited for connecting vacuum chambers, cryostats, cold traps, turbo pump inlets, and similar components where rigid tubing would be impractical. They are widely used in semiconductor fabrication, scientific research labs, analytical instrumentation, and industrial process systems wherever a flexible, leak-tight stainless connection is needed. The 1/4" Swagelok tube fitting ends allow direct integration into existing Swagelok plumbing without additional adapters.
This Swagelok SS-FM4SL4SL4-23 FM Series stainless steel braided vacuum hose pair has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. Both hoses show normal handling wear consistent with prior use in a lab or industrial environment. The stainless braid is intact on both hoses, and the 1/4" Swagelok tube fitting ends appear clean and undamaged with no visible deformation to the ferrules or hex nuts.
