The Supra SupraFAXModem V.32bis is an external desktop fax modem that supports 14,400 bps fax and V.32bis data communication over standard phone lines. It connects to a Mac or PC via a DB-25 serial port and supports V.42bis data compression and MNP 2–5 error correction. The front panel features four LED status indicators (OH, SD, RD, TR), a digital speed display, and a speaker volume control knob. This unit includes its original Supra Corporation power adapter.

Applications
The SupraFAXModem V.32bis belongs to the early-to-mid 1990s generation of external dial-up fax modems, when 14,400 bps (V.32bis) was the prevailing high-speed standard before V.34 (28,800 bps) took over. External modems of this type connected a Mac or PC to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) for dial-up data sessions and fax transmission. Supra was a well-regarded modem brand of the era, popular with Mac users in particular, and the SupraFAXModem line was among the more capable consumer/prosumer offerings of its time. The DB-25 serial interface connects to a standard Mac serial or RS-232 port using an appropriate cable, and the dual RJ-11 jacks support line-in and phone pass-through. Today these units are primarily sought by vintage computing enthusiasts, hobbyists running legacy Mac and DOS/Windows systems, and collectors of early-1990s personal computing hardware.
This Supra SupraFAXModem V.32bis external fax modem has been pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility. The unit shows typical light wear consistent with prior use; the case and front panel are intact with no significant damage visible.
