Applications
This modem type was standard for fax and data communication on desktop computers throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Compatible with any PC or Mac running legacy systems with a serial port, it connects to standard analog telephone lines for dial-up modem and fax operations. Commonly used for fax transmission, email over dial-up, and data transfer before broadband internet became standard. Requires appropriate serial port driver support from the host operating system.
This Supra SupraExpress 33.6 external fax modem has been inspected and is in good used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was in use and functional. The housing shows minor surface scuffing consistent with normal desk use, but is otherwise clean and intact. The front-panel LED indicators (OH, SD, RD, ON) and dual RJ-11 ports on the rear appear undamaged. The 8-pin DIN serial cable is attached and intact.
