The SunRocket AC-211-SR is a residential VoIP gateway and SIP analog telephone adapter (ATA) that connects up to two standard analog phones to a broadband internet connection for VoIP calling. It provides both a LAN port for local network devices and a WAN port for direct connection to a broadband modem, along with a Life Line (POTS failover) jack for backup connectivity to a traditional phone line.

Applications
The AC-211-SR was originally deployed as part of SunRocket's residential VoIP service, which operated in the mid-2000s. As a SIP-based ATA, this device connects standard analog (POTS) telephones to a SIP VoIP provider over a broadband connection — it handles the conversion between analog audio signals and SIP/RTP digital voice packets. The built-in router function (WAN + LAN ports) allows it to sit between a cable or DSL modem and a home network while simultaneously handling voice traffic. The Life Line port provides a fallback path to a traditional PSTN line in case of internet outage. Today, SIP ATAs of this type are used by hobbyists, small businesses, and legacy telephony integrators who need to connect analog handsets, fax machines, or PBX equipment to modern SIP trunks or hosted VoIP platforms.
This SunRocket AC-211-SR VoIP Gateway has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. The unit shows light cosmetic wear consistent with normal use. The rear ports — Life Line, Phone 1, Phone 2 RJ-11 jacks, and both LAN and WAN RJ-45 ports — appear undamaged and intact.
