Applications

SD30 machines were used in optical disc manufacturing facilities to produce polycarbonate discs for data storage and media distribution. The machine accepts molten plastic and injects it into molds to form disc substrates. The integrated Yushin robotic arm handles part ejection and transfers. Historically deployed in high-volume CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray production environments.

This Sumitomo Heavy Industries SD30 CD/DVD Disc Injection Molding Machine is being sold as-is for parts or repair. It was pulled from a CD/DVD disc manufacturing facility in Northern California and appears to be mostly complete, with the Yushin DRD II-HS robot arm, Netstal controller boards, Sumitomo C110 hydraulic unit, and CNC operator panel all present. We were unable to fully test this machine at our facility, so we cannot confirm its operational status. Visible wear includes surface rust on lower hydraulic fittings and base areas, general grime and staining across the machine body, and cosmetic scuffing on exterior panels. The temperature controller panel, hydraulic accumulator, and drive components are present. This machine will require freight shipping — please contact us for a quote.
