Applications
Stanley Assembly Technologies' QPM torque controllers are used in production assembly lines where precise, repeatable fastening is required — most commonly in automotive manufacturing, electronics assembly, and general industrial production. The QC1001-X connects to Stanley electric nutrunner and screwfeeder tools to monitor and control torque and angle during tightening operations, logging results and flagging faults in real time. The QPM platform allows operators to program multiple tool groups, set torque and angle targets, and communicate process data to a host system via the DB9 serial ports. Automatic Tool Change (ATC) functionality supports multi-tool setups where different fastening parameters are needed at different stations. These controllers became common in automotive plants and electronics contract manufacturers from the late 1990s through the 2000s as assembly lines moved toward closed-loop torque verification and traceability.
This Stanley 21A111001 / QC1001-X QPM Nutrunner Screwfeeder Torque Controller has been powered and tested at our facility. The unit powers on and cycles through the different menu options and functions. It was not tested with any connected nutrunner tools or screwfeeder components. The yellow housing shows scuffing, scratches, and some discoloration on the top and corners consistent with shop use. The LCD display and keypad are functional. The rear enclosure shows normal wear. Includes the Stanley high-flex tool cable with yellow multi-pin circular connector on one end and a green screw terminal block on the other.
