The Standard MT830 is a rackmount agile satellite receiver designed for broadcast and professional satellite downlink applications supporting both C-band and Ku-band signals. It features an analog Signal/C/N/Tune meter on the front panel, a green LED channel display, a format rotary control covering satellite format, RF input settings, video parameters, three audio controls, timer/alarm, and configuration, plus an antenna polarity switch. This unit does not include the control access module.

It was used to receive and demodulate satellite signals in the C-band and Ku-band ranges, converting downlink IF signals from an LNB to baseband video and audio outputs for distribution or recording. This type of agile receiver was common in broadcast uplink/downlink facilities, cable headends, and VSAT receive sites from the late 1980s through the 1990s, where operators needed to tune across multiple satellite transponders and handle both polarizations.
