Description
Stainless Steel Semi-Rotating Ring Stage OD 8.75" ID 5.825" Thick 0.625" Lab
This is a precision-machined stainless steel semi-rotating ring stage with a large annular form factor. The outer ring is fixed, while the center section rotates approximately 1.5 inches of arc travel, controlled by an 8mm knurled thumb screw adjustment rod. The design provides fine angular positioning of components seated within the inner bore, commonly used in optical, semiconductor, and precision lab instrument setups where a large-diameter annular work area must be angularly adjusted.

Applications
Semi-rotating ring stages like this are used in precision positioning applications where a large annular work area needs angular adjustment — for example, centering or rotationally aligning optics, lenses, mirrors, wafer chucks, or process hardware in semiconductor fab equipment, vacuum systems, or optical benches. The large inner bore (5.825" ID) accommodates substantial substrates or hardware while the outer ring anchors to a larger instrument baseplate or frame. This style of annular rotary stage was widely used in 1980s–1990s semiconductor process and inspection equipment, as well as optical alignment fixtures and custom lab apparatus, where a precisely adjustable large-format ring mount was needed. They remain useful today for anyone maintaining or building similar precision setups, or adapting vintage semiconductor or optical equipment.
This stainless steel semi-rotating ring stage has been inspected and is in good used condition overall. The machined stainless body is intact and the rotating center section moves as intended via the knurled adjustment rod. There is visible surface rust along the inner race/rotating interface area (clearly visible in the detail photos), which is cosmetic and typical for older precision stainless hardware that has been in service. The outer ring and top faces show normal machining wear and light scuffing. The lead screw mechanism on the underside is present and intact. A small black anodized bracket component is also included, as shown in the photos. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions. Please note: We have multiple units in stock — yours may not be the one shown in the photos, however, it will be similar in condition and function.
