SPAN GCS-305 Gas Cylinder Scale 300 LBS SAM-305 Amplifier 9.25x9.25 Platform
The SPAN GCS-305 is a dedicated gas cylinder platform scale designed to continuously monitor the weight — and therefore the remaining contents — of compressed gas cylinders. The scale consists of a stainless steel platform base connected to a SPAN SAM-305 scale amplifier, which converts the load cell signal to a standard 0-5 VDC analog output compatible with a wide range of process controllers and monitoring systems. This unit does not include a terminal/display — the platform and amplifier with cable are what ship.

Applications

Weighing is the only reliable method for monitoring the remaining contents of liquefied gas cylinders (such as CO₂, N₂O, and mixed gases) where pressure does not drop linearly with consumption. The SAM-305 amplifier's 0–5 VDC output connects directly to PLCs, data loggers, or process control systems, making this scale suitable for automated cylinder management and low-level alarm triggering. These systems have been used extensively in semiconductor process gas monitoring, laboratory gas supply management, and hospital/medical gas distribution since the 1990s.
This SPAN GCS-305 Gas Cylinder Scale with SAM-305 amplifier has been inspected and is in good used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. The stainless steel platform shows general surface wear and scuffing consistent with field use, and the SAM-305 amplifier has some wear around the SPAN button area. The cable and 4-pin circular connector appear intact. The terminal is not included with this unit — the scale platform and SAM-305 amplifier with cable are what ship.
