Specifications & What's Included

  • Model: RT6000 (Sorvall Instruments)

Applications

The RT6000 series was used in clinical laboratories, biological research facilities, and diagnostic centers for separating blood samples, plasma, serum, and other biological specimens. These centrifuges maintain temperature control during extended spin cycles to preserve sample integrity. The rotor hub and cross are visible in the chamber.

Condition: For Parts or Not Working
This Sorvall RT6000 Refrigerated Centrifuge is being sold as-is for parts or repair. The unit does power on and the front panel illuminates, but we were unable to get the rotor to spin or the refrigeration system to chill the chamber during our evaluation. No rotor is included — the rotor hub/cross assembly is visible inside the chamber but no rotor bucket or rotor head is present. Externally, the cabinet shows general wear consistent with lab use: the lid has surface scuffs and sticker residue, the front panel and chassis show minor soiling and scratching, and the ventilation grilles appear intact. The rating plate is legible and confirms 1000W, 115V, 15A, 60Hz. This unit is suitable for parts salvage, chassis use, or an experienced technician's repair attempt. It is not guaranteed functional and is not returnable as a working unit. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
