This Sorvall Instruments DuPont RC-80 RC70 Floor-Model Refrigerated Ultracentrifuge is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. The unit does power on — the control console illuminates and the chamber door opens — however, when an attempt was made to initiate a run, an Initialization Error appeared on the control screen. Without a manual, we were unable to troubleshoot further, so the unit is offered as-is with no functionality guarantee and no representation that it is capable of centrifuge operation. No rotor is included. The machine is equipped with an Alcatel 2012A vacuum pump and an Alcatel 6063 oil diffusion pump, both of which are included in the sale. Cosmetically, the cabinet shows normal wear for a floor-model laboratory instrument of this age — the RC70 decal on the side panel has minor paint peeling at the base. The rear condenser shows dust and debris accumulation. The internal electronics card cage is intact with multiple PCBs present. The interior vacuum pump and plumbing components appear complete.
