The SoloPower SP3L-180 is a 180-watt flexible thin-film solar panel using CIGS (copper indium gallium selenide) cell technology encapsulated under a durable ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) surface layer. At just 0.1 inches thick and 13.2 lbs, it rolls up for storage and lays flat without rigid framing, making it practical for curved or lightweight mounting surfaces where a conventional glass panel would not work. MC4 connector cables exit from opposite ends of the panel for straightforward series or parallel wiring.

Applications
CIGS thin-film panels like the SP3L-180 are used wherever a rigid glass panel is impractical — most commonly on RV rooftops, boat decks, and vehicle-based off-grid systems where weight and mounting flexibility matter. The rollable, frameless design allows installation on curved surfaces using adhesive or tape-based mounting rather than penetrating hardware. At 180W and 65V Vmp, the panel is suited for 12V, 24V, and 48V battery bank charging via an appropriate MPPT charge controller (the high Voc of 91.8V should be verified against the controller's input voltage range before use). SoloPower manufactured its SP3L series in Portland, Oregon using a roll-to-roll CIGS deposition process, which was distinct from traditional silicon panel manufacturing and produced panels in this long, narrow, rollable form factor. These panels have also been used in portable and emergency power setups, camping overland rigs, and marine applications where thin, lightweight power generation is a priority.
These SoloPower SP3L-180 180W flexible thin-film solar panels are new and unused — they have not been installed or connected to any system. They have been stored both indoors and outdoors over their storage lifetime; the ETFE surface and cells are intact and show no signs of wear in our photos. Note that the border color and cell appearance may vary slightly from the panel pictured, as individual units can differ. MC4 connector cables are attached at opposite ends of each panel.
