Solopower SP1 60W Flexible Thin Film CIGS Solar Panel 86.5" 20V Solder Tabs

The Solopower SP1 is a 60-watt flexible thin-film solar panel using CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) photovoltaic technology. At 86.5 inches long and just 0.1 inches thick, it can be rolled for storage and transport, making it well suited for installations where rigid glass panels won't work. Electrical output is taken from metal solder tabs located at opposite ends of the panel — no junction boxes required to generate power, though MC4 cables with pre-attached junction boxes are included for easier hookup.

Applications

CIGS thin-film solar panels like the Solopower SP1 are used in applications where weight, flexibility, or low profile matter more than the compact footprint of conventional silicon panels. The rollable format makes them a practical choice for curved or irregular mounting surfaces — commercial rooftop membranes, RV roofs, marine applications, and portable or remote off-grid power setups where rigid panels can't be used. CIGS technology performs relatively well in diffuse or low-light conditions compared to standard crystalline silicon, which can be an advantage in overcast climates or partially shaded installations. The solder-tab output connections allow direct integration into custom wiring harnesses or charge controller setups without needing pre-made MC4 connectors, though the included MC4 cables with junction boxes give installers a plug-and-play option as well. Solopower produced these panels at their San Jose facility and this stock comes directly from their QC process.

This Solopower SP1 60W flexible CIGS solar panel is new and unused, manufactured at Solopower's San Jose, California facility. It comes from their QC department and has been tested to output voltage. Many panels in this lot have handwritten markings on them from the testing process — this is normal and does not affect electrical performance.
