Description
Solopower SP1 60W 20V CIGS Flexible Solar Panel Rollable RV Boat MC4 86.5in
The Solopower SP1 is a 60-watt flexible thin-film solar panel built on CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) photovoltaic technology. Unlike rigid glass-substrate panels, this panel rolls up to roughly 10–12 inches in diameter, making it easy to store and transport. It connects via standard MC4 connectors and requires no special mounting hardware — just unroll and deploy. At under 5 lbs, it is among the lightest full-size 60W panels available.

Applications
CIGS thin-film solar panels like the Solopower SP1 are used wherever flexibility, light weight, or low-profile installation matters. With a maximum power voltage of 20V and a short-circuit current of 4A, this panel works well for charging 12V battery banks — common in RVs, boats, camper vans, and off-grid cabins. The original design intent was for commercial and residential rooftop installation, where the panel could conform to curved or non-planar roof surfaces without the structural load of glass panels. Because Solopower used CIGS rather than silicon, the cells perform comparatively well in diffuse or partially shaded conditions. CIGS thin-film technology was developed through the 1990s and 2000s as an alternative to crystalline silicon, offering a thinner, more flexible substrate at the cost of slightly lower peak efficiency. Solopower was one of the last US-based manufacturers of flexible CIGS panels; the Portland factory closed in 2016, making these panels a finite-stock item no longer in production.
This Solopower SP1 60W CIGS flexible solar panel is in open-box condition. These panels are among the last produced at Solopower's Portland, Oregon factory before the company closed operations in 2016, making them a genuinely rare find. The panel shows no signs of wear — the CIGS cell surface and ETFE top sheet appear clean and intact, and both MC4 connectors are present and undamaged. Stock is limited and will not be replenished once sold. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
