Applications
The Sola Electric 86-series Component Type Custom Rectifiers are chassis-mount DC power supplies designed to be integrated directly into equipment panels, enclosures, or custom-built industrial systems. They supply regulated 24VDC for control circuits, solenoid valves, relay logic, PLCs, sensors, and other 24V industrial loads — a standard control voltage in factory automation and process control environments. Sola Electric (later acquired by and sold under the GS brand) built a strong reputation for stable, regulated DC power supplies widely used in North American industrial and OEM equipment from the 1970s through the 1990s. The remote sense terminals allow compensation for voltage drop in long output wiring runs, a feature common on power supplies designed for panel integration. The shutdown terminal enables external supervisory control over the supply, useful in safety-critical or sequenced-start systems.
This Sola Electric 86-24-262 Component Type Custom Rectifier has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The chassis and perforated steel cover show normal wear consistent with prior installation use. The screw terminal block and internal PCB appear intact with no obvious damage.
