The Opti Temp OTC-3.0AL is a complete, computer-controlled environmental vacuum chamber system combining a horizontal cylindrical pressure vessel, a recirculating heated/chilled water circuit with four sliding stainless steel tray drawers, and an integrated 3-ton refrigeration chiller — all managed through a National Instruments TPC-2230 touchscreen controller. The chamber is certified to MAWP INT 50 PSI / EXT 15 PSI by Johnstone Company, Inc. and runs on 208-230V three-phase power at 30.4A full load using R404a refrigerant.

Applications

The OTC-3.0AL is a thermal-vacuum environmental test system used to subject components, assemblies, or materials to controlled temperature and pressure conditions simultaneously. Systems of this type are used in aerospace and defense component qualification, photonics and optics research, semiconductor process development, and general R&D environments where samples must be thermally cycled or held at a target temperature under vacuum or elevated pressure. The sliding tray drawer design allows samples to be loaded and positioned easily inside the horizontal chamber. The NI TPC-2230 touchscreen interface allows operator control and data logging through the LabVIEW-based software environment common in automated test systems. This type of integrated chiller-chamber system was also used in digital printing, plastics processing, and mobile imaging applications where precise temperature management of a process chamber is required.

This Opti Temp OTC-3.0AL environmental vacuum chamber system has been inspected and appears to be in good overall condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was in active use. The vacuum chamber vessel, stainless tray drawers, and process plumbing are intact and show normal use wear. The Hoffman CSD20168LG electrical enclosure, National Instruments TPC-2230 touchscreen controller, SMC pressure/vacuum transducers, and Sirai solenoid valves are all present.
