This is a lot of 100 Nanosolar NanoCell flexible CIGS thin-film solar cells, totaling 260 watts of rated generating capacity. Each cell is a raw, uncoated Print2Power CIGS cell built on a semi-flexible lightweight aluminum substrate using a Metal Wrap Through (MWT) screen-printed design. The positive output is a conductive connection tab; the thin uncoated aluminum strip along the front edge serves as the negative output. Cells are connected using conductive adhesive or conductive epoxy — no soldering or output cables are included.

Applications
CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) thin-film solar cells like the Nanosolar NanoCell are used in custom and DIY solar panel fabrication, research and development projects, flexible solar array prototyping, and educational or experimental photovoltaic builds. Because the cells are raw and unencapsulated, they are suited to applications where the builder supplies their own encapsulant, laminate, or substrate integration — common in hobbyist panel builds, curved or conformable surface installations, and R&D work where standard rigid crystalline cells won't fit. The semi-flexible aluminum substrate makes these cells tolerant of mild bending, which opens applications on curved surfaces such as curved roofing, vehicle tops, or irregular structures. Nanosolar was a San Jose, California-based thin-film solar company that developed a proprietary roll-to-roll nanoparticle ink printing process for CIGS deposition — a departure from the vacuum-deposition methods used by most thin-film manufacturers of the 2000s era. The company operated from the early 2000s and was wound down and liquidated in 2013. These cells come from the final experimental production runs at the Nanosolar facility and represent genuine new-old-stock from that program. These Nanosolar NanoCell 2.6W flexible CIGS solar cells are new and unused. The lot of 100 cells has been stored in sealed cartons with desiccant to protect shelf life. The cells show no wear or damage — they are raw, uncoated production cells in the same condition as when they left the Nanosolar facility. The packaging is open-box style (original Nanosolar retail packaging is not included), but the cells themselves are unissued new-old-stock.
