C-Band up/downconverter RF unit for satellite ground station applications. Converts between 70 MHz intermediate frequency and C-Band RF frequencies for uplink (5.845–6.425 GHz) and downlink (3.625–4.2 GHz) operations in an outdoor weatherproof enclosure.

Applications

Used in satellite ground stations, VSAT networks, teleports, and carrier facilities for C-Band single-channel-per-carrier (SCPC) and time-division multiple access (TDMA) communications. Typical of equipment deployed at regional teleports and private earth stations for satellite transponder access during the 1990s through 2010s.

This Miteq U/D-9502-61289 C-Band Up/Downconverter RF Unit has been inspected and is in good condition. It was pulled from a working satellite ground station environment where it was in active use and functional. The outdoor enclosure shows normal wear consistent with field installation — some paint scuffing and minor surface soiling on the enclosure exterior and heat sink fins, and paint loss at several connector panel edges as visible in the photos.
