Satellite communication downconverter that converts RF signals in the 2.2–2.3 GHz band to a 70 MHz intermediate frequency output. Mounts in standard 19-inch rack configuration.

Applications

Downconverters of this type are used in satellite earth stations and telecom receive systems to process C-band and Ku-band satellite downlink signals. The DN8000 series supported S-band and C-band satellite communications ground equipment. These units are commonly found in fixed satellite service (FSS) installations, broadcast contribution networks, and data receiving terminals where signal frequency translation and amplification are required before intermediate frequency processing.

This Miteq DN8000/10268 RF Satcom Downconverter has been inspected and is in good condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was actively in use. The chassis is clean with only minor cosmetic wear typical of rackmount equipment. Internal modules — including the LPNF-20, XTO oscillator, PLM phase lock module, and power supply — are all present and intact as visible in the photos.
