Applications

The E1467A is a VXI-bus switch matrix module used in automated test equipment (ATE) systems, where it routes analog signals between instruments and devices under test under software control. The Z2220A breakout cable is the physical interface that connects the module's internal switching paths to external BNC-terminated instruments — such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, DMMs, or stimulus/response test gear — on the bench or in a rack-based test system. VXI (VME eXtensions for Instrumentation) was the dominant high-throughput ATE bus standard from the late 1980s through the 2000s, used extensively in defense, aerospace, semiconductor, and commercial electronics test environments.
