Applications

This board was used in Varian Klystron RF power supplies for microwave generation and amplification systems. Klystrons with 10KV supplies were deployed in radar systems, particle accelerators, and industrial RF applications throughout the mid-to-late 20th century. The rectifier control board converts AC mains to the stable high voltage DC required for tube bias and operation. Compatible with Varian Klystron 10KV RF power supply systems.

Condition: Used
This Varian Klystron 10KV RF Power Supply High Voltage DC Rectifier Control Board was pulled from a Varian Klystron RF Power Supply where it was in active use and functional. The board has been inspected and is in good used condition overall. The top side shows normal aging consistent with high-voltage service — wiring and components appear intact with no obvious burn marks or damaged parts. The reverse side of the board shows some paint splatter and surface residue on transformer cores (visible in photos), and the chassis plate shows light surface oxidation in places. All major components are present, including the Stancor P-8657 primary transformer (117V, 50–60Hz), the large Varian MFD transformer (marked 177), an AMF Potter & Brumfield relay, a Sprague Analytix 35V filter capacitor, two signal transformers on the reverse side, and associated passive components. Part number 01-000040 is visible on the chassis rail. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
