Description

Enerjet C Series Auto System Controller Cryogenic Vacuum Pump Control

The Enerjet C Series Auto System Controller is a dedicated rackmount control unit designed to automate and monitor cryogenic high-vacuum systems. It provides centralized control over cryo pump sequencing, mechanical (roughing) pump operation, valve actuation, and system-mode selection — consolidating the logic required to safely cycle a cryogenic vacuum chamber through roughing, high-vacuum, regeneration, and venting steps.

Applications

The Enerjet C Series Auto System Controller is used to automate cryogenic high-vacuum systems in research, semiconductor processing, coating, and materials science environments. Cryogenic vacuum systems rely on a cryo pump (a closed-cycle helium refrigerator) to achieve ultra-high vacuum by cryocondensing residual gases on a cold surface, and the sequencing of that pump — along with the mechanical roughing pump, gate valves, and vent valves — must follow a precise, interlock-protected order to protect the pump and process chamber. A controller like this handles that sequencing automatically, reducing operator error and protecting expensive cryo pump hardware. It provides manual override capability for maintenance and regeneration cycles, during which the cryo pump is warmed and cryotrapped gases are pumped away by the mechanical pump. Equipment of this type was widely used in PVD (physical vapor deposition), thin-film deposition, and electron beam evaporation systems from the 1980s through the 2000s, and remains in service wherever legacy cryogenic vacuum systems are still operated.

Condition: Used
This Enerjet C Series Auto System Controller for cryogenic vacuum systems has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. The front panel shows normal wear consistent with lab use — some light scuffing on the black anodized panel. All toggle switches, push buttons, status LEDs, and the key-switch Auto Mode selector are present and appear intact. The rear aluminum enclosure and multi-pin D-sub connector also appear in good condition. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
