ECD Ovonics QA4-850-000 MC4 Solar Connector Reliability Tester 250V Uni-Solar

Benchtop vibration and continuity tester designed for MC4 solar connector qualification in photovoltaic manufacturing. Unit combines a 250V AC main controller with an integrated Netter Vibration NEA-5050 vibrator to stress-test MC4 connectors during production.

Applications

MC4 connector reliability testing was standard in Uni-Solar and other photovoltaic module assembly lines. The tester applies controlled vibration to energized MC4 connectors to detect intermittent contact failures, corrosion resistance, and mechanical durability before modules ship. Compatible with standard MC4 photovoltaic connectors used across residential and commercial solar manufacturing throughout the 2000s–2010s.

This ECD Ovonics QA4-850-000 MC4 Solar Connector Reliability Tester is being sold as-is. It has not been powered or tested at our facility — we do not have the PC or software required to operate the unit via the rear 9-pin RS-232 serial (PC Comm) port, so functionality cannot be confirmed. The unit appears physically complete: the ECD Ovonics controller module, Netter Vibration NEA-5050 vibrator, orange MC4 test pad, Carr-Lane hold-down clamp, and MC4 cable harness are all present.
